NASCAR Cup Series: Kevin Harvick to sponsor Kevin Harvick at Dover
By Asher Fair
Through his sponsorship with Busch Beer, Kevin Harvick is set to sponsor Kevin Harvick in the NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Dover International Speedway, the Drydene 400.
Busch Beer’s sponsorship of Kevin Harvick and Stewart-Haas Racing has resulted in a number of unique paint schemes for Harvick’s #4 Ford throughout the first 29 races of the 36-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season.
For the season-opening Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway, Harvick ran a #Car2Can paint scheme. He then ran a Millennial paint scheme for the All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
More recently, he ran a National Forest Foundation paint scheme for the race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, a Generation X paint scheme for the July race at Pocono Raceway and a Big Buck Hunter paint scheme for the race at Darlington Raceway.

Now Harvick is set to run a Kevin Harvick paint scheme, a Kevin Harvick beer paint scheme to be more specific, in the opening race of the round of 12 of the playoffs this Sunday, October 6 at Dover International Speedway.
That’s right; Busch Beer is going “All-Harvick” for the 400-lap Drydene 400 at the four-turn, 1.0-mile (1.609-kilometer) high-banked Monster Mile oval in Dover, Delaware.
Everything that was Busch is now Harvick. The 43-year-old Bakersfield, California native is set to drive the #4 HARVICK Ford in a matching HARVICK firesuit to open up the second round of the four-round, 10-race playoffs.
Why?
Because “Busch” is also the name of two of Harvick’s rivals: Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch and Chip Ganassi Racing’s Kurt Busch.
According to the “Harvick” brewing company, “we’re sacrificing our name to get rid of theirs.”
In fact, everything that was Busch at the track, including the cans at the concession stands, will feature the name Harvick as well.
“Now this is a paint scheme,” Harvick said. “Got my name on the car, got my name on the beer can. I can support this one. It’s about time.”
Harvick is a two-time winner at Dover International Speedway, and he finished in fourth place at the track when the series visited in May. The more recent of his two victories there came in last year’s May race. He also won the playoff race at the track in October of 2015.
The NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Dover International Speedway, the Drydene 400, is set to be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET this Sunday, October 6. Will Kevin Harvick wheel his #4 Kevin Harvick Ford to victory lane?
