The round of 12 of the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs is scheduled to come to a close this Sunday, October 20 at Kansas Speedway with the Hollywood Casino 400.
A total of 40 drivers are set to compete in this race, the 32nd of 36 races on the schedule and the sixth of 10 races on the four-round playoff schedule.
This race is also the second race at Kansas Speedway this season, making Kansas Speedway the 10th of 13 tracks on the schedule to host two races. The first race at the track took place in mid-May and also featured 40 drivers.

This Sunday’s race is set to be the ninth race of the season to feature a full field of 40 drivers, and it makes Kansas Speedway the third track to feature full fields in both races. The other two were Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. Charlotte Motor Speedway did as well, but one race was on the track’s oval while the other was on the road course/roval.
Entering Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400, 13 drivers representing six different teams have won at least one race so far this season. With that being said, only 10 of these 13 drivers representing five of these six teams are among the 12 round of 12 playoff drivers.
A total of 13 drivers, albeit not the same 13 drivers, representing six different teams, albeit not the same six teams, have taken at least one pole position so far this season. However, only nine of these drivers representing five different teams are among these round of 12 drivers.
