NASCAR Cup Series: 2019 First Data 500 – Live qualifying updates

The third of four rounds in the 10-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, the round of 8, is scheduled to begin this Sunday, October 27 with the First Data 500 at Martinsville Speedway, the seventh race of the playoffs and the 33rd race of the 36-race season.

This race, which is set to feature 38 drivers, is the second race of the season at Martinsville Speedway, making the track the 11th of 13 tracks on the schedule to host two races this season.

The two remaining tracks on the schedule that have already hosted a race this season are Texas Motor Speedway and ISM Raceway, the other two tracks of the round of 8.

The remaining track on the schedule that hasn’t hosted another race this season is Homestead-Miami Speedway, the host track of the Championship 4.

Entering the First Data 500, 13 drivers representing six different teams have won at least one race so far this season, and 14 drivers representing six different teams have taken at least one pole position.

Of the eight round of 8 drivers, all eight representing all five teams represented in the round of 8 have been victorious at least once this season. In fact, they have combined to win the 25 of the first 32 races of the season. Six of these eight drivers representing all five of these teams have each taken at least one pole position this season, although they have combined to take only 15 of the season’s first 32 pole positions.
