The 2019 Formula 1 season is in the books, and unsurprisingly, it was Lewis Hamilton who ended the year on top. How do the year’s final power rankings look?

Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport’s Lewis Hamilton capped off the 2019 Formula 1 season in the simplest way to sum it up: a dominant performance that resulted in yet another victory.

Hamilton’s victory in the 21st and final race of the season at Yas Marina Circuit, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, was his 11th victory of the year, tying his career-high, which he set in 2014 and tied again last year. The 34-year-old Briton set several all-time Formula 1 records with his performance in this race.

How did Hamilton’s dominant victory in this 55-lap race around the 21-turn, 3.451-mile (5.554-kilometer) Yas Marina Circuit road course on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates affect the Formula 1 Power Rankings?

These Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings were calculated using a formula, which you can see here. But before they are revealed, take a look below at some of the highlights of this edition of these rankings.

Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings Analysis

To nobody’s surprise, the top five in the formulated Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings did not change following the season finale, and there wasn’t a whole lot of movement throughout the rest of the rankings, either. Only one driver moved more than one position in either direction, and only seven drivers moved at all.

Now let’s get started with the rankings.
