NASCAR: There are now two bounties on Kyle Busch
By Asher Fair
There are now two bounties on full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch in the Truck Series, the second one coming from Halmar International.
Joe Gibbs Racing NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch dominated the Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway two Friday nights ago to secure his seventh consecutive win at NASCAR’s third highest level.
As a result of that dominance, fellow full-time Cup Series driver Kevin Harvick placed a $50,000 bounty on Busch for any full-time Cup Series driver who could beat him in any of his remaining four Truck Series starts this season.
Marcus Lemonis, the CEO of Truck Series title sponsor Gander Outdoors, added $50,000 to that bounty for a grand total of $100,000. So far, two drivers, Hendrick Motorsports’ Chase Elliott and Chip Ganassi Racing’s Kyle Larson, have taken them up on it.

Now there is a second bounty on Busch.
Halmar International, a construction company in Nanuet, New York and the primary sponsor of Halmar Friesen Racing and Stewart Friesen in the Truck Series, have introduced a separate $50,000 bounty on Busch.
Any full-time driver who wins a Truck Series race in which Busch competes throughout the rest of the 2020 season will win $50,000, provided that Busch is still running at the end of the race.
Here is what Halmar International principal Chris Larsen had to say about the matter.
"“We love Kyle. He is a true warrior! But, we have so many talented truck series regular teams, and we know first hand the the level of work they put in. We want to give the drivers and teams, who are the bedrock of the series, a bounty to shoot for. We are looking forward to seeing how Stewart Friesen performs behind the wheel of the Halmar International #52 Toyota Tundra during these upcoming races as well. We are confident in our Halmar team!”"
Friesen, who pilots the #52 Toyota Tundra for the team after they switched from Ford over the offseason, confirmed this news.
Busch’s final four starts of the season are scheduled to take place at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway and Kansas Speedway on Saturday, March 14, Friday, March 20, Friday, March 27 and Friday, May 30, respectively.
As for the Harvick/Lemonis bounty, Elliott is set to challenge him in the races at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Kansas Speedway while Larson is set to challenge him in the race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Both drivers are set to drive a fifth entry, the #24 Chevrolet, for GMS Racing, which field four full-time entries.
Will Kyle Busch find victory lane in each of his remaining four starts throughout the 2020 NASCAR Truck Series season, or will these bounties lead to somebody finally stopping him?
