NASCAR Truck Series: Kyle Busch is back; where will he compete in 2020?

Kyle Busch is set to return to the NASCAR Truck Series for his five races in the 2020 season. At which five tracks is he slated to compete?

Much to the chagrin of much of NASCAR‘s fanbase, full-time Joe Gibbs Racing Cup Series driver Kyle Busch has confirmed that he will be back behind the wheel of the #51 Toyota for Kyle Busch Motorsports in five regular season Truck Series race this year.

Last season, Busch led the series in victories with five wins in his five starts, and he has now won six consecutive Truck Series races going back to July of 2018 at Pocono Raceway.

Where is the all-time winningest driver in Truck Series history slated to compete throughout the 16-race 2020 regular season?

The 34-year-old Las Vegas, Nevada native is slated to compete in the season’s second, third, fourth, fifth and ninth races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway and Kansas Speedway, respectively.

These races are scheduled to take place on Friday, February 21, Saturday, March 14, Friday, March 20, Friday, March 27 and Saturday, May 30.

Busch competed at three of these tracks (Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway) last year, and he won at all three en route to his five for five performance. He last competed in a Truck Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2014, and he finished in fourth place. He last competed in a Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway in 2018, and he finished in second.

He has two career Truck Series wins at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in three starts, five at Atlanta Motor Speedway in 11 starts, two at Homestead-Miami Speedway in eight starts, four at Texas Motor Speedway in 13 starts and two at Kansas Speedway in five starts.

As for Kyle Busch Motorsports’ 2020 NASCAR Truck Series driver lineup as a whole, Raphael Lessard and Christian Eckes are the full-time drivers, with Lessard set to pilot the #4 Toyota and Eckes set to drive the #18 Toyota. Also set to drive the #51 Toyota throughout the year are Chandler Smith, who is not yet 18 years old, and another unnamed driver.
