How do the IndyCar drivers who have competed in each race on the IndyCar iRacing Challenge schedule stack up against one another in the championship standings?

A total of 41 drivers have competed in at least one of the five IndyCar iRacing Challenge races that have been contested so far at virtual Watkins Glen International, virtual Barber Motorsports Park, virtual Michigan International Speedway, virtual Twin Ring Motegi and virtual Circuit of the Americas.

But of those 41 drivers, only 22 have competed in all five of the races.

The unofficial IndyCar iRacing Challenge championship standings are updated after every race, but due to the fact that many of the drivers who are listed have not competed in each of the races, it can become confusing when determining which drivers have actually performed at what level.

So here is how those full-time drivers stack up against only one another in these standings.

Note that each driver’s status as a full-time driver has nothing to do with his status as a full-time driver in the real-life IndyCar field.

1st – Simon Pagenaud: 176 (0)

5th – Sage Karam: 114 (-62)

7th – Graham Rahal: 95 (-81)
8th – Alex Palou: 94 (-82)
9th – Josef Newgarden: 90 (-86)
10th – Marcus Ericsson: 87 (-89)
11th – Dalton Kellett: 75 (-101)
12th – Pato O’Ward: 74 (-102)
13th – Zach Veach: 72 (-104)
14th – Colton Herta: 68 (-108)
14th – Alexander Rossi: 68 (-108)
14th – Conor Daly: 68 (-108)
17th – Oliver Askew: 65 (-111)
18th – Felipe Nasr: 57 (-119)

Of the 19 drivers who have competed in the series but have not done so in a full-time capacity, four have competed in four races, two have competed in three races, six have competed in five races and seven have competed in only one race.

Among the four drivers who have competed in only four races, Scott Dixon, who sits in 11th place in the championship standings, is the top driver. He is averaging 19.75 points per race, an average that would place him in seventh had he competed in all five races thus far.

Among the two drivers who have competed in just three races, Ryan Hunter-Reay, who sits in 27th place in the championship standings, is the top driver. He is averaging 14.67 points per race, an average that would place him in 14th had he competed in all five races thus far.

Among the six drivers who have competed in only two races, Scott Speed, who sits in 26th place in the championship standings, is the top driver. He is averaging 22.5 points per race, an average that would place him in sixth had he competed in all five races thus far.

Finally, among the seven drivers who have competed in just one race, the leader is Lando Norris, who won in his only start at virtual Circuit of the Americas and swept all 54 possible points by taking the pole position and leading the most laps. He sits in 24th place in the championship standings.
