By Mark Kristl
NASCAR is set to return to live racing at Darlington Raceway and Charlotte Motor Speedway. Timmy Hill is set to compete in all seven races at those two tracks over the course of 11 days.
On Sunday, May 17, NASCAR is scheduled return to live racing. The Cup Series field is set to compete in the The Real Heroes 400 at Darlington Raceway, beginning an 11-day stretch during which the three top series are set to run a total of seven races. In addition to Kyle Busch, Timmy Hill is also set to compete in all seven races.
Hill already drives the #66 MBM Motorsports Toyota full-time in the Cup Series. He has only finished in one of the four races thus far this season, but his biggest accomplishment was successfully racing into the Daytona 500.
Upon the completion of the four upcoming Cup Series races, Hill will have 100 career Cup Series starts. He is now also working with new crew chief Clinton Cram.

For Sunday’s race at Darlington Raceway, Hill is set to start in 38th place. In his two career Cup Series starts at the track, he has an average finish of 35.00. Thanks to his sponsor RoofClaim, he will have fresh tires in Sunday’s race.
Hill has two Cup Series starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway and he has finished in six straight races there overall.
The Xfinity Series is scheduled to race once both at Darlington Raceway and Charlotte Motor Speedway. Hill has started this season well at NASCAR’s second highest level. Driving for MBM Motorsports, he has improved upon his qualifying position in every race. In the season opener at Daytona International Speedway, he finished a career-best third place.
Hill has six Xfinity Series starts at Darlington Raceway and 13 starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway. With no practice or qualifying sessions, his experience at both tracks could serve him well when the series returns.
Lastly, Hill is set to drive his own #56 Hill Motorsports Chevrolet in the Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Having competed in only one of the two races this season thus far, he sits in 30th place in the championship standings. Hill Motorsports field the #56 Chevrolet full-time and also sit in 30th in the owner standings.
Hill competed in the most recent Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He started in 11th place but finished in 28th after overheating issues forced him out of the race after 113 of the 134 laps.
Hill has competed in the Truck Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway three times. Although he lacks any top 10 finishes, he finished in 16th place driving for Hill Motorsports last year.
The spotlight shone on Hill during the COVID-19 pandemic in the virtual racing world. He won the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series event at the virtual Texas Motor Speedway, and he unofficially earned the most points in that iRacing series by a sizable amount.
The Real Heroes 400 is scheduled to begin on Sunday, May 17 at 3:30 p.m. ET, with live TV coverage provided by Fox from Darlington Raceway.
