There will not be any real qualifying sessions through the NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday, June 21.

This past Sunday’s single-car qualifying session for the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway was the last one for quite some time, as NASCAR has announced that there will not be any more through at least the Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday, June 21.

From now to then, there are 14 races on the schedule, although two are scheduled to take place at Charlotte Motor Speedway and already had their qualifying formats set up.

Beginning this Sunday, May 31, there are slated to be 12 Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series races at Bristol Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway.

More from NASCAR

Five are Cup Series races, including one at each track, five are Xfinity Series races, including two at Homestead-Miami Speedway, none at Martinsville Speedway and one at the rest, and two are Truck Series races, including one at Atlanta Motor Speedway and another at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The starting lineups for the five Cup Series races are set to be determined the same way the starting lineup for the first race at Darlington Raceway was determined. There will be a random draw from charter teams in positions 1 through 12 in owner points, another random draw from charter teams in positions 13 through 24 in owner points and another random draw from charter teams in positions 25 through 36 in owner points. Positions 37 to 40 go to the open teams in order of owner points.

The starting lineups for four of the Xfinity Series races are set to be determined in a similar manner. The groupings (1 through 12, 13 through 24 and 25 through 36) are based on the Adverse Conditions Line Up Eligibility. Any additional cars that are eligible for the race will be assigned positions from 37 through 40 based on their order of eligibility.

For the other race, the second race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the starting lineup is set to be determined based on the finishing order of the first race at the track. The top 15 finishers are set to line up in the top 15, but in reverse order, and the remaining drivers are set to start where they finished, followed by any new entries.

Finally, the starting lineups for the two Truck Series races are also set to be determined by random draws. There will be a random draw from teams in positions 1 through 10 in owner points, another random draw from teams in positions 11 through 21 in owner points and another random draw from  teams in positions 22 through 32 in owner points.

Any additional cars that are eligible for the race will be assigned positions from 33 through 40 based on their order of eligibility.
