NASCAR: Kevin Harvick vs. Denny Hamlin – who is the championship favorite?
A second championship for Kevin Harvick
As much as I would like to see Denny Hamlin finally capture his first NASCAR Cup Series championship, I just don’t think he will be able to overcome Kevin Harvick’s consistency.

The playoff tracks line up well for both drivers, with the exception of the round of 12 for Hamlin, and ultimately, I think both drivers will qualify for the Championship 4.
But at one point, Kevin Harvick was unbeatable at Phoenix Raceway. He won six races in an eight-race span at the track from November of 2012 through March of 2016.
However, since the start/finish line was moved to the exit of the former turn two, Harvick actually has not been able to reach victory lane, but the same cannot be said for Hamlin, who won there last November in what was a must-win scenario to qualify for the Championship 4.
The race there in March nearly netted Harvick a win, but he had to settle for second place while Hamlin finished in a disappointing 20th.
The battle for the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series championship will be interesting to watch all the way down to the final lap at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday, November 8.
