IndyCar: Graham Rahal teases ‘exciting news’ for next week
By Asher Fair
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing IndyCar driver Graham Rahal teased “exciting news” coming to fans next Monday, January 4, 2021.
The 133-day offseason between the 2020 and 2021 IndyCar seasons reaches its halfway mark at the same time the second “0” in 2020 flips to a “1” in just a few hours.
Graham Rahal is already under contract with the team co-owned by his father through 2023 after signing a five-year extension back in June of 2018.
But the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver teased that he has some more “exciting news” on the way for fans at the beginning of next week on Monday, January 4.
The 31-year-old New Albany, Ohio native posted a covered picture on Twitter, with part of that cover torn off revealing part of what appears to be some sort of logo.
While some fans noted the appearance of a Coca-Cola logo, leading to speculation of Rahal running the Memorial Day Double, others noted that the portion of the picture Rahal shared exactly matches a Ducati logo.
And Rahal is admittedly a Ducati freak.

As to what this “exciting news” actually is, presumably relating to the Italian motorcycle manufacturing company, we will have to wait and see what Rahal has in store for next Monday.
The 2021 IndyCar season is scheduled to get underway in just over two months with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida on Sunday, March 7.
Rahal enters the 2021 season on a 57-race win drought, seeking his first win since 2017.
He is coming off of a coronavirus pandemic-shortened 2020 season that saw him finish in sixth place in the championship standings, tying his best finish in the last four seasons. He tied his career-best Indy 500 result with a third place finish and scored a season-high second place finish in the first of three races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. He ended the year with five straight top nine finishes.
