IndyCar: 2021 Road America qualifying – Full starting lineup
By Asher Fair
The starting lineup for the ninth race of the 2021 IndyCar season, the REV Group Grand Prix at Road America, is set following an exciting qualifying session.
Team Penske still seek their first win of the 2021 IndyCar season after eight races, but they put together quite an effort in qualifying for the season’s ninth event, the REV Group Grand Prix at Road America.
For the second consecutive race, Josef Newgarden, who won at Road America back in June 2018, took the pole position, and two of his three teammates joined him in the Firestone Fast Six.
Newgarden took the pole position for this 55-lap race around the 14-turn, 4.048-mile (6.515-kilometer) natural terrain road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin by recording a top lap time of 106.0186 seconds (136.301 miles per hour) in the Firestone Fast Six qualifying session behind the wheel of his #2 Chevrolet.
