NASCAR is headed to Darlington for the Bojangles’ Southern 500 this Sunday. Here are four predictions to consider before the green flag drops.

Darlington Raceway is a track filled with NASCAR history. It’s one of the oldest tracks on the circuit and has been a track that many of the best drivers in NASCAR history have tried to tame.

Only some have succeeded.

Sunday night’s race is going to be one of the best all season. From the throwback paint schemes to the short track racing, Darlington is only slightly bigger than a mile, to the pressure of the Chase, a lot will be on the line Sunday night and drivers will be pushing themselves to the limit to make the Chase or try to lock in a spot.

Who will be able to tame track often called “Too Tough To Tame” this year? Will we see another new driver make the Chase like we saw last week at Michigan with Kyle Larson’s win?

How will Jeff Gordon do in the 88? Does he have a real chance at winning or will he struggle to keep the 88 car relevant on Sunday night?

The Bojangles’ Southern 500 at Darlington will be one of the toughest tracks for drivers and will separate those who are ready for the Chase from those who aren’t.

As we get ready for a race under the lights on Sunday night, here are four predictions for Darlington.
