facebooktwitterreddit

Next up on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule is Sunday’s Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. It’s the seventh race of 36 points-paying races on the 2014 schedule. So far, six drivers have won in the first six races, a record for the Chase for the Sprint Cup era. Drivers who already have wins under their belts for this year include Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch.

Two drivers lead the way among active drivers on the Texas Motor Speedway wins list with three apiece — Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson. Edwards already has a win this season, but reigning and six-time Sprint Cup Series champion Johnson is still looking for his first win of the year. Matt Kenseth, who finished second to Johnson for the Sprint Cup title in 2013, is the other multi-time winner at TMS with two trips to victory lane. Also worth noting, in regards to Kenseth — he leads the way in top-fives at Texas with 13. Johnson is second in that category with 10.
