It was the race that many fans thought we would never see the end of because of the rain. Edwards did not have a dominate car on this night but he was up front at the end when it mattered. He was actually running away with this race before someone in the flag stands accidentally tripped the caution lights causing a caution with less than three laps to go. Luckily for NASCAR the sky opened up moments later and crisis was avoided. The race ended under caution as it poured for the final two laps.
