NASCAR: Who’s Hot And Who’s Not Heading Into Richmond

HOT – Kyle Larson and Austin Dillon

Larson and Dillon are clearly the cream of the 2014 rookie crop. Dillon currently sits 11th in the points while Larson is 14th. Dillon has taken the slow and steady approach this season. He doesn’t have the multiple top-five finishes that Larson does but he also doesn’t have some of the bad finishes either. For Larson, with risk there definitely comes reward. Larson’s aggressive style has produced a pair of top-five finishes and four top-10 finishes in eight starts. Dillon was all the talk coming into the season and although he hasn’t disappointed, Larson is certainly giving him a run for the top rookie spot. Either Larson or Dillon has been the highest finishing rookie in each race this season. Larson has done it five time while Dillon has done it three times.
