NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Talladega Superspeedway: entry list

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway this weekend for Sunday’s Aaron’s 499. It’s the 10th race on the 36-race Sprint Cup schedule. the winner’s tally still stands at seven heading into Talladega, with Joey Logano joining Kevin Harvick last weekend at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway as the only two multi-race winners, so far, in 2014.

Forty-seven drivers are on the entry list for Talladega. If all 47 make qualifying attempts, four drivers will find themselves on the outside looking in without spots on Sunday’s starting grid after Saturday’s qualifying session. Qualifying on Saturday will be the first time the series has used its new “knock-out” format at a restrictor plate track. The session can be seen live on FOX, beginning at 1 p.m. ET.
