NASCAR: Who’s Hot and Who’s Not Heading Into Kansas

From a historical standpoint Johnson is off to one of the worst starts in his career. The longest that it has ever taken him to win a race from the start of the season is 12 starts. Sunday will be his 11th start of the year and he has yet to find his way to Victory Lane. Many people will scoff at this and point to his six NASCAR championships. However, Johnson has set the bar for himself very high given his wins and success. With those six championships comes a certain amount of expectation. I am not saying it is fair and I am not saying that it is right however it comes with the territory. If Johnson fails to win this weekend or next, it will be his worst start to a season ever from a winning standpoint.
