Martin Truex Jr. should have made the chase last season depending on your view of the 2013 Richmond debacle. 2014 has been more than a struggle for him and his team. In 11 races he only has one finish inside of the top-10. Earlier in 2014 he had some competitive cars but because of equipment issues and wrecks he did not see the finishes that he would have like to. Truex Jr. and company have to be hoping that their fortunes can change in Charlotte over the next couple of weeks. Luckily for him a win could turn all of 2014 around.
