HOT – Jimmie Johnson

Jimmie Johnson finally snapped his much over-discussed 13 race winless streak this past week by winning the Coca Cola 600. Whether you agreed with it or not, the first 1/3 of the 2014 NASCAR season has been dominated with talk about Johnson and the No. 48 team being one step behind the rest. With his win in Charlotte Johnson will all but guarantee himself a spot in the 2014 chase as he became the 10th winner of the season in only 12 races. More importantly, Johnson kicked off what many were considering to be an important three race stretch with a bang. Historically Johnson has ran well at Charlotte, Dover and Pocono, it may have taken him a bit of time to win his first race of the season but don’t be surprised if he wins his second much quicker.
