HOT – Matt Kenseth

Matt Kenseth has not won a race in 2014 and the season is now halfway to the start of the chase. Some fans might feel that makes him anything but “hot” but that simply isn’t the case. After his fifth top-five finish of the season in Dover, Kenseth moved to the top of the point standings. With the way that the new chase format works, the final spot in the chase is reserved for the points leader should they not have any wins during the season. Therefore, if the chase were to begin this week at Pocono, Kenseth would be in. Despite not having a win in 2014 Kenseth and the No. 20 team are running well. Kenseth leads all drivers in 2014 with his 10 top-10 finishes. With 10 top-10 finishes through 13 races, it’s only a matter of time before he wins a race or two.
