Kyle Larson had quite the day at Michigan. Larson wrecked on the opening laps of the race which caused a great deal of damage to the back of his No. 42 machine. Larson was then able to rebound and put himself into the top-five late in the race only to be caught speeding on pit road. Larson was then able to come back from that and finish in the 8th position. Larson has been by far the most impressive rookie this season. He sits eighth in the point’s standings and is the second driver in the standings without a win; which puts him in a great position to make the chase even if he cannot win a race.
