NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Daytona International Speedway: entry list
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will go night racing Saturday night in the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. It’ll be the second visit to Daytona, site where the season kicked off in February, and the third restrictor plate race of the season, out of a total of four. Last time the circuit visited Daytona, Dale Earnhardt Jr. claimed his second Daytona 500 trophy and became the first driver of the year to make a case for a Chase for the Sprint Cup berth.
Fans and media members who were concerned about the short race field last weekend at Kentucky Speedway can breathe easier this week, as there are 44 names on the entry list for Daytona. So, not only will there be a full race field, there will even be one driver on the outside looking in after qualifying on Friday.
Sprint Cup qualifying is scheduled for 5:10 p.m. ET Friday and may be seen live on FOX Sports 1. The race is scheduled to take the green flag at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, with live race coverage provided by TNT, beginning with the pre-race show at 6:30 p.m.
