NOT – Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson

Kentucky looked like it was going to be a good night for Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson. Both drivers had fast cars and both drivers were running towards the front early on in the race. Unfortunately both drivers also had tires go down which caused them to sail into the outside wall and ended both of their nights early. For Hamlin all seems to be well despite the fact that he appeared to be a bit shaken up after the wreck. Hamlin and the No. 11 team already have a win this season and are pretty much a lock for the chase. Larson on the other hand is still seeking his first career Sprint Cup Series victory. As a result of that points are the most important thing right now for the No. 42 team. With only a handful of races left until the chase, Larson and company cannot afford to have finishes outside of the top-40 as they did last weekend in Kentucky. Saturday night at Dayton could be good for both of them as they both finished inside of the top-10 at the Daytona 500 in February.
