NASCAR: Who’s Hot And Who’s Not Heading Into Daytona
HOT – Matt Kenseth
Okay so Matt Kenseth isn’t really hot per say, maybe luke warm is a better example of what he is. However after three sub-par performances Kenseth looked great in Kentucky. What made his top-five finish all the better was the fact that he rebounded from a tire issue and was able to march back through the field. Kenseth is almost a lock to make the chase based on his points alone. Kenseth would have to have a large string of poor finishes in a row for him to fall out of contention based on his points. Although making the chase is nice, fans of the No. 20 most likely would prefer him to enter the chase with a win under his belt; as would Kenseth one would have to assume. Daytona could be the night for Kenseth and the No. 20 team to get their first win of 2014.
