NASCAR Nationwide Series at Indianapolis Motor Speedway: entry list
The NASCAR Nationwide Series kicks off the NASCAR weekend at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a.k.a. the Brickyard, on Saturday with the running of the Lilly Diabetes 250. It’ll mark the third year of Nationwide competition at IMS after moving from Lucas Oil Raceway, formerly O’Reilly Raceway Park, formerly Indianapolis Raceway Park.
Saturday’s race is also the third of four races in the Nationwide Dash4Cash program. The four drivers racing for an extra $100,000 are Chase Elliott, Trevor Bayne, Ty Dillon and Brian Scott.
There are 42 drivers on the entry list for the race that will feature 40 drivers. Among the 42 are several Sprint Cup regulars aiming for extra seat time in preparation for Sunday’s big show, the Brickyard 400 Sprint Cup Series race. Sprint Cup drivers on the entry list for Saturday’s Nationwide race include Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Larson, Joey Logano, Paul Menard and David Ragan.
Chase Elliott, meanwhile, leads the cast of Nationwide regulars, both as the series championship points leader and as the series’ most recent race winner. Here’s a look at the entry list for Saturday’s Lilly Diabetes 250:
