NASCAR: Who’s Hot And Who’s Not Heading Into Dover

HOT – Kyle Busch
Coming into the chase Kyle Busch and the No. 11 team were running like hot garbage. Wrecks, mechanical failures and poor decisions on pit road led to Busch having only one finish in the top-15 in the six races before the start of the chase. Well the chase is here and two weeks into it Busch is riding the momentum of consecutive top-10 finishes and he looks primed to be in a position to make the next round of the chase. At Loudon last weekend Busch was involved in a wreck in the latter parts of the race. The wreck caused some serious damage to the front of the No. 18 machine. Numerous pit stops and lots of black tape later would put Busch in 26th place with a severely beat-up car. None of that seemed to matter though as Busch drove his taped up car through the field and into the top-10 by the time that the checkered flag waved. If Busch and the No. 18 team can continue this consistency, they will be around for the final round of the chase.
