NOT – Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski

Martinsville was not kind to either of these chase drivers and as a result they have some work to do in order to keep their championship hopes alive. For Keselowski, Martinsville was a huge letdown after he had raced his way into the third round of the chase by winning Talladega. For Edwards, it’s impressive that he is still even in the chase given the fact that RFR has been giving him some terrible cars to run for the majority of the season. Edwards has an easier road to travel than Keselowski considering the fact that Edwards is only 15 points behind 4th place while the No. 2 team is 26 points back. That being said, with the way the No. 31 and No. 20 have been running; it would seem that they will have to run into trouble for either Edwards or Keselowski to pull themselves back into the hunt. With the No. 24 and No. 22 looking strong and the others being so consistent, it could be an uphill battle for both of these drivers. Then again, Keselowski could just go and win his seventh race of the year and not worry about it.
