No. 41 Kurt Busch

Busch became the apple of Gene Haas’ eye with his 2013 performance with Furniture Row racing by driving the #78 into the 2013 Chase. Busch came out of the box inconsistent and that would be the word to describe his season. The team earned a win in Martinsville to clinch a spot in the 2014 Chase, but was eliminated in the first round. They had as many DNF’s as top-5’s and that led to the crew chief swap with Patrick’s team. The pairing of Busch and Tony Gibson seemed to perk up Busch in the final races as he qualified and ran closer to the front. Add in the on-going domestic violence investigation by Dover police and Busch’s 2014 season is considered a disappointment.

It would seem that Gibson is slated to remain with Busch in 2015 which could be good for that team. However, 2015 could be up in the air depending on how the domestic violence investigation pans out.
