Tony Stewart (SHR) – Can Stewart bounce back from 2012 and 2013?

Stewart is a three-time NASCAR champion having won his last title in 2011. Stewart also hasn’t been in the chase since 2012.

At the end of the 2013 season Stewart was sidelined with a broken leg, that injury caused him to miss the last few months of action and the chase. In 2014 Stewart struggled early as he was still recovering from the broken leg. Stewart’s leg coupled with the Kevin Ward Jr. accident led to another sub-par season and Stewart once again missing the chase.

A personal low came for Stewart in 2014 as he was not able to win a race. This marked the first time in his NASCAR career that he did not win at least one Sprint Cup Series race in a season. 2014 was also the second consecutive year that Stewart did not run the full season.

Stewart and the No. 14 team should be focused and ready to go this season. Stewart has a passion for racing that could rival anyone’s and three consecutive years without a spot in the chase simply doesn’t seem possible.
