No.2 Dale Earnhardt finally wins the Daytona 500 after 19 attempts (1998).

This was one of the most emotional moments in the history of NASCAR: Earnhardt had already won every race you could possibly think of, he only didn’t have a win in the “Great American Race”. In the previous 19 attempts he had lost by some fluke too many times, so this one had to be his year. In the final laps everything went smooth and “The Man in Black” won for the ecstasy of the cheering crowd. When he came back to pit road all the crew members of every team were there awaiting to congratulate him.
