No.4 Breathtaking photo finish between Dale Earnhardt and Bobby Labonte (2000).

The Atlanta 500 of the year 2000 is a clear example of the spectacular finishes that the Atlanta Motor Speedway often provides. Mike Skinner dominated the race early on but his chances of winning his first Winston Cup race ended when his engine blew, leaving Dale Earnhardt and Bobby Labonte fighting for the win. Labonte made the move on the bottom of turn three on the last lap and the two drivers ended up crossing the finish line side by side. Labonte lost the race to Earnhardt by just one one-hundred of a second. “The Intimidator” would win only another race at Talladega before his death in 2001.
