Checkered Countdown: Top-Five Las Vegas Finishes

With our Checkered Countdown weekly series we provide you with the best race finishes that took place at each track the Sprint Cup Series races at. After leaving the old-paved Atlanta Motor Speedway with the win going to Jimmie Johnson this week we will be going through the five best finishes at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The track opened in 1996 and the first NASCAR held there was in 1998. This track is also sadly remembered as it was the oval where Dan Wheldon lost his life in 2011.
