No. 55 Brian Vickers

Vickers time with the No. 55 team and his time in NASCAR as a whole has been difficult. Health issues have plagued Vickers for the majority of his NASCAR career and the result has been a lot of missed time on the track. This season alone Vickers has missed time for two separate issues. He missed the first two races of the season while recovering from off-season heart surgery and currently he is out because of blood clots in his lungs.

It’s hard to imagine a team like Michael Waltrip Racing abandoning Vickers. That being said, if they plan on remaining only a two-car team they are going to want a driver who is going to be healthy enough to race.

Prediction: It won’t be an easy decision but I think that MWR and Vickers will part ways at the end of the 2015 season unless MWR decides to expand to three cars in 2016.
