Other Potential Free Agents
- No. 7 Alex Bowman – Bowman’s deal with Tommy Baldwin Racing and the No. 7 team will end after 2015. Bowman is a young driver and his team fits him and vice versa. Unless Bowman has a catastrophic season I believe that he will be back with the team in 2016.
- No. 38 David Gilliland – Gilliland is off to a quiet start in 2015 with Front Row Motorsports. In fact, the majority of the attention from FRM has been on David Ragan who is filling in for Kyle Busch with JGR. With the success of Ragan and him possibly looking for bigger opportunities in the future, Gilliland will stay with his current team.
- No. 51 Justin Allgaier – Allgaier is coming off of a nice 2014 run where he finished 3rd in the ROTY running behind Kyle Larson and Austin Dillon. Allgaier already has three top-20 finishes in 2015, after having only 10 in all of 2014. Of his 10 top-20 finishes in 2014, seven of them came in the final 15 races. Allgaier has carried that momentum into this season and he should be back with his team in 2016.
- No. 30 Ron Hornaday – Hornaday is running a part-time schedule in 2015 with a part-time team. I am sure that he will be able to find a similar arrangement in 2016. It’s 50/50 whether or not it will be with the same team as part-time deals are hard to predict.
