- Danica Patrick is off to the best start of her career. In nine races she already has two top-10 finishes and she has no finishes outside of the top-30.
- One has to feel for Kyle Busch and Brian Vickers; two good guys missing a lot of time on the track for health issues/ injuries.
- There have been seven different winners in the first nine races.
- David Ragan will run in his third different car for his third different team when he takes over the No. 55 machine after Talladega.
- Chase Elliott has looked impressive in his limited Cup action, it will be interesting to see more of Erick Jones this season as well.
