Best Week Ever – AJ Allmendinger

On Saturday it was announced that AJ Allmendinger signed an extension with JTG Daugherty Racing that will keep him with the race team through 2020.

The news was exciting for Allmendinger as it provides him with some serious job security moving forward. The announcement was even more exciting in that the majority of driver extensions are for three years; Allmendinger landed himself a deal that will keep him in his current ride for the next five.

It’s nice to see that JTG Daugherty has such faith in Allmendinger. Allmendinger isn’t one of the best drivers on the circuit but he is without question talented. Allmendinger is also one of the better road course drivers in the series and there are still two of those coming up this season. The extension with Almendinger is a feel-good story all the way around and it has resulted in Allmendinger having the best week ever.
