Ryan Newman

Ryan Newman has once again showed the world the consistency that almost won him a title in 2014. In 11 races in 2014, Newman has nine top-12 finishes. Newman has not exactly been a threat to win in 2015 but he also proved in 2014 that winning races isn’t necessarily the path to a championship. One would have to assume that this consistency could lead to a win this season but even if it doesn’t he should still make the chase.

GRADE: B+

Paul Menard

Menard has turned some heads in 2015. In 11 races Menard has seven top-15 finishes. Menard also has a pair of top-five finishes which have helped him climb into the top-15 in the point standings. Menard will need to maintain this pace over the next 15 races if he wants to put himself in a position to make the chase.

GRADE: B

Austin Dillon

Dillon and the No. 3 team will need to step up their game moving forward if they want to make an impact in 2015. Dillon has finished five of his last six races 20th or worse. Before this stretch he had a stretch at the beginning of the season where he finished three out of five races in the top-15. It’s stretches like in the beginning of the season that will get this team to where they want to be.
