This weekend in Charlotte the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cars will look a little bit different in Coca-Cola 600. Normally the cars have the name of the driver at the top of the windshield, however this weekend they will instead have the name of a fallen service member. This weekend in Charlotte NASCAR will be honoring some of the men and women who have lost their lives while serving our country. The names of the fallen heroes on the cars will not only be a way to remember and pay respect on Memorial Day Weekend but it will also help NASCAR kickoff NASCAR: An American Salute™, the industry’s collective expression of reverence, respect and gratitude for those who have served and continue to defend our nation today.
Below you will find a list of all the names that will appear on each car along with a couple of photos of those cars with the names on them. The complete list comes courtesy of NASCAR.com. Be sure to watch the Coca-Cola 600 this weekend to root for your favorite driver and to pay respect to some of the heroes that lost their lives defending our freedom.
