NASCAR: Five Drivers Likely To Miss The Chase

Aric Almirola made it to the Challenger round of the Chase last season but was eventually eliminated. In his eight years in NASCAR, he has one win and it came at Daytona during the summer of 2014 so any kind of experience like that is helpful.
At the moment, he sits just outside of the Chase and is looking in. His major issue has just been getting quality finishes. His only top ten of the season so far came at Dover. That’s just not the kind of racing that is going to get you into the Chase.
Never say never in a sport like NASCAR but it doesn’t seem like a win is imminent for him so he is going to have to rely on better finishes and staying afloat in the race for 16th place. He faces a great task with drivers such as Clint Bowyer and Ryan Newman placed ahead of him.
