UPDATE – FRR doesn’t know if they will be moving two-car operation in 2016. Truex Jr. has a handshake deal in place to return in 2016 but no signed contract.

When Bowyer was participating in a Q & A on twitter a few weeks ago, he was on a plane with other fellow Sprint Cup Series drivers and was asked on if he happened to be on the plane with a potential teammate after 2015. His response:

Funiture Row Racing has talked about expanding throughout the 2015 season while also changing manufacturer’s. The team is believed to be moving from Chevrolet to Toyota in 2016 while also looking to expand. Clint Bowyer would be a perfect fit for the expansion team as he has been teammates with Truex at a Toyota organization before. There is a lot that needs to be worked out in this deal and it will be tough to put together for 2016 already, but it is a definite possibility as Bowyer will bring over the sponsorship the team has been looking to add for a while.
