2. Memorial Day Double (x2)

Stewart is a racer in full, as he would race anything, anytime, anywhere. For example, he is one of two drivers to attempt the Memorial Day Double, racing both the Coca-Cola 600 and the Indy 500 in the same day. His first attempt was in 1999. He would go on to finish ninth at Indy and fourth at Charlotte, where he led 13 laps.

He tried again in 2001, leading 13 laps and finishing sixth at Indy. On his return to Charlotte, he would spin on the second lap but rebounded to finish third. He is the only driver to date to finish all 1,100 miles in one day.
