NASCAR’s annual trip to Las Vegas was about as exciting as the city itself. Take a look at a few winners and losers from the race.

NASCAR is currently on a three-race trip to the western portion of the United States. The first stop, and the city where this week’s race took place at, was Las Vegas.

This week’s action saw the second installment of low downforce for the 2016 season. Yet again, the race saw more passing during times when that wouldn’t have been the case in 2015. Whether it was a long green flag stretch or a competitive restart, the competition just seemed more exciting than it did last year.

The event was also subject to some extreme weather as 30 mph+ winds wreaked havoc across the infield, in the stands and on the track. We also saw other unique forms of weather such as sandstorms sweeping across the area.

As for the race, Team Penske had better fortunes this week, finishing first and second after making late passes on Kyle Busch. Also, a few young drivers, like Austin Dillon and Ryan Blaney were able to put together solid races by finishing in the top-10.

With all of this in mind, check out some of the winners and losers of the Kobalt 400.
