NASCAR: Five Drivers Most Likely To Win At Martinsville
By Cole Mentzel
NASCAR returns to action this weekend for a thrilling race at the paperclip. Check out a few drivers who have great chances at winning on Sunday.
After an off week, the Sprint Cup Series will be back at it this weekend as NASCAR heads to Martinsville.
Before a break in the action, we saw Jimmie Johnson collect another win at Auto Club, giving him the most wins on the season at two, and propelling him to the top of the Chase standings.
With Martinsville looming, we will get the second short track race of the season, this time on the unique turns of the paperclip. Martinsville is one of the oldest tracks in the circuit as it has been used for NASCAR racing since 1949, when Red Byron won the first race there.
The previous race we saw there came with plenty of storylines as the Matt Kenseth/Joey Logano feud reached a tipping point and Jeff Gordon secured his final victory as a full-time driver.
This time around, drivers like Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be searching for their first wins of the season as they attempt to lock up a Chase spot early.
Take a look at five drivers who will be in contention on Sunday.
