Loser: Austin Dillon

What started off as a decent night for Austin Dillon turned into disaster with 41 laps to go.

After starting in 10th place, Dillon was having a nice day. He was consistently running in the top-10 and, at one point, challenged for the lead after staying out during a caution. His car was not as good as the top cars in the race, but it looked good enough for another top-10 finish.

Then everything changed. Coming out of Turn 2, Denny Hamlin moved Dillon up the track just enough for him to get loose and narrowly avoid taking Jimmie Johnson out with him. That resulted in a 13-car wreck that inflicted damage throughout the field, bringing out a critical caution for the leaders.

Though Dillon finished 19th, he had a shot at another impressive finish this week in Texas. Sometimes, one slight movement can be the difference between a top-10 and a top-20.
