Winner: Landon Cassill’s Incredible Maneuvering

It was the wreck of the night and one of the biggest wrecks we’ve seen all season as Austin Dillon got loose and proceeded to slide across the track before tapping the wall. Shortly after, his two Richard Childress Racing teammates started up the rest of the 13-car wreck.

Instead of focusing on who took damage, let’s focus on one incredible bit of driving from Landon Cassill, who drove his No. 38 car through the chaos on the backstretch.

Cassill was able to drive in front of Carl Edwards before avoiding a combination of Menard and Dillon. By swinging his machine back to the middle of the track, he cleared the scene.

Though he finished 25th, he was able to gain some valuable positions by avoiding the wreck.

If you would like to watch Cassill’s narrow escape, you can view it here as the first 15 seconds of the video captured the moment.
