Talladega continues to be one of the craziest races in the NASCAR season and this year was no different. Now that the race is over, here’s five takeaways from the Geico 500.

From a rookie winning the pole position to having to worry about a possible rain-delayed or shortened race early on, Talladega was filled with exciting circumstances right from the start.

Thankfully the rain never came and fans were treated to the full 188 laps of restrictor-plate racing. We saw two big wrecks, two cars go airborne and drivers competing side-by-side and four wide as they tried to fight for the lead.

Brad Keselowski was the one who ended up in victory lane, but after an exciting race here’s five takeaways from the Geico 500 at Talladega.
