Watch out for that…WALL!

While the Verizon IndyCar Series has only run on the road course at Indianapolis twice, those two races have led to some wild accidents, including lots of restart drama on the circuit. No one seems to have been immune so far with their problems at Indianapolis, and look for another crazy race this weekend for sure.

Arguably the craziest of these incidents in the Grand Prix of Indianapolis was the start of the inaugural edition of this race. It was one of the few races where the series would attempt a standing start, common in Formula One but vastly unsuccessful in IndyCar. Needless to say, the results of this attempt at Indy were not good, creating a debris field that covered a large chunk of the front straight and eliminating pole sitter Sebastian Saavedra.

Will we see similar incidents in the 2016 running of the Grand Prix of Indianapolis?
