Stats at Charlotte:

  • Wins: 0
  • Top-5’s: 10
  • Top-10’s: 14
  • Laps Led: 907

Kyle Busch surprisingly has never won a race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, but that hasn’t stopped him from performing well there.

His 10 top-5’s is tied for third among active drivers while his 14 top-10’s is the third-highest in NASCAR right now. Over the years, he’s been a consistent threat, placing in the top-10 in 14 out of his last 19 races at the track. He’s also finished in second or third place six different times.

This could be Busch’s best chance to finally capture a win at Charlotte. Coming into the season, he hadn’t won a race at four different tracks. After a visit to Martinsville and Kansas, he has cut the list down to two–just Charlotte and Pocono. With Pocono coming up in a little over a week, he has a chance to finish off his list early in the season, but it all starts with Charlotte this weekend.

Busch is having a brilliant follow-up to his championship season and he seems prepared to continue breaking records and winning races. Watch for him to go hard in an effort to secure his first victory at Charlotte this weekend.
