Ride Along for the Win

Have you ever wanted to watch the race from the perspective of just one driver? What about the winning driver of the Indianapolis 500? Thanks to technology developments from television partners like ABC, you can ride along with many of the drivers in the Indy 500 field. One of those that had that in-car camera in 2015 was the winner of the race – Juan Pablo Montoya.

The video is all from the perspective of the #2 Verizon Chevy, no commentary and no outside voices other than that heard on the team radio. Listen to the motor, watch the cars that Montoya is racing, and see how it looks for a driver to race the final fifteen laps of the Indianapolis 500.

Do you think you could race like Montoya at Indianapolis? He hopes to replicate the success he found last year, starting seventeenth in 2016. If he is successful, he’ll be the first driver to go back-to-back since his teammate Helio Castroneves earned wins two and three.
